December Elegance

I had the pleasure of making cupcakes for Jenny and Jesse! They were so easy breezy to work with. All they said was, red, simple and do whatever you like!!

Congrats you two! Your reception was absolutely gorgeous! Have a great honeymoon!

This is my last order of the year. This is my daughter's first Christmas and I want to take some time to travel and spend time with her.

Sorry cupcake lovers! I'll have a yummy, delicious sampler ready for you all in January!!

A New York Affair

I was lucky enough to work with a wonderful couple on their New York themed wedding. They were engaged in New York and wanted a little piece of that at their reception. I was happy to oblige!

I hand made each subway sign. Each flavor of cupcake had a different subway station card and the cake was the New York skyline with edible stars shooting out of the cake! The pictures really don't do it justice, it was quite a display!

Congrats you guys! Have a great honeymoon!

The bride and groom that ordered these cupcakes just wanted something simple and elegant. They ordered the cute liners online and sent them my way. Each liner had a different cupcake flavor inside.

The bride even made a cute cupcake sign on a chalkboard...I need to start making these! It was so adorable!!

My favorite wedding coordinator was there too! If you need a great one, check Carina out!! She's so professional and awesome too!

Baseball Cupcakes!

I had a gal that wanted cupcakes to celebrate her dad's 60th birthday. He was a big local baseball fan so we decided to put the Dodger and Angel's logo in there along with some baseballs and mitts.

Happy Birthday!!

Tropical Tango

The bride and groom of these cupcakes called me a few weeks before their wedding and were like "We need cupcakes" I was thrilled to get the phone call and thrilled to make them some delicious cupcakes!

The only hitch is they knew the flavors they wanted and the problem was, they were flavors I had not made before! Coconut Pineapple and Chocolate Mint. I went straight to the kitchen and got to work creating something delicious for them and Viola! Two new flavors under my belt!

Thanks for letting me be part of your special day!!

Garden Party Cupcakes

This was for a little gal's garden party birthday! While I was setting up the cupcakes she was visiting with me and I could not have loved her more. She told me that she knew what most of her presents were, she wasn't totally sure she wanted her lil sis to be there and she was going to sing a song in the middle of her party!

What a great party!!

Our Back to School Cookie Inspired Sampler!

The finished product! The cookie sampler!!

Oreo

Samoa

Peanut Butter Surprise

Snickerdoodle

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cupcake

I think I say this everytime, but this was my FAVORITE sampler of all time! Oh man, it was delicious! I'm trying to be good and stay on my diet, but I throw that to the wind on Sampler days!! I mean, the Baker MUST try every goodie. It's a must :)

Here's the flavors that inspired me:
1. Oreo - Always a hit. Vanilla batter with Oreos mixed in the batter and frosted with buttercream frosting.
2. Peanut Butter Surprise - Peanut butter cupcake with a Hershey Kiss baked in the center, frosted with chocolate frosting.
3. Snickerdoodle - Vanilla nutmeg cupcake, dipped in melted butter and doused in cinnamon and sugar.
4. Chocolate Chip Cupcake - Yellow cake batter with chocolate chips mixed in, frosted with buttercream frosting and topped with a homemade chocolate chip cookie!
5. Samoa - This made me stop saying that I hate coconut! Chocolate cupcake with coconut frosting, swirled with caramel and rimmed with toasted coconut. Yes, it was that good!

For all of your who ordered....Thank you! I love, love, love making something sweet for you and your families to enjoy! Each and every one of you allow me to stay at home with my daughter and that means the world to me!

Love and Cupcakes,

Sarah

Marci and Jack's Wedding Cupcakes!!

Fresh Daisies on all the displayed cupcakes

What a beautiful color for daisies

We put sugar crystals on the cake to make it shimmer and an orange ribbon at the base

I had so much fun planning these cupcakes with Marci and her mom Judy! They knew exactly what they wanted and I was happy to oblige. Marci's wedding color was a gorgeous orange. So instead of making fondant flowers we used fresh daisies supplied by her florist. All the extra cupcakes had orange sprinkles and were kept in the back until serving.

Marci and Jack's reception was in Laguna beach at [seven-degrees], a really gorgeous venue. The events they book generate the income necessary to sustain the arts program at the facility. So the reception site has original artwork hanging throughout. It's so gorgeous! Check it out if you are looking for a wedding reception site...oh and you can get married on the roof! How awesome is that!

Shanelle and Michael's Wedding!

Her colors were navy, so we did a navy ribbon around each tier of the stand and navy cupcake liners!

We did natural decorations for each cupcake, white sprinkles for the vanilla, a dash of cinnamon on the carrot cake, red velvet crumbles and chocolate chips on the vanilla chip cupcakes!!

And a big cupcake for the newlyweds!

This couple was so adorable, so laid back and completely in love! I was so happy that they asked me to be a part of their special day. They were married in Huntington Beach at an equestrian center...gorgeous! She paid so much attention to details; the place cards were attached by a hat pin to bright green apples. I loved it! There were so many other fabulous details, but I just don't have the time to blog about them all!

It was a hot day and I was a little worried about the cupcakes melting...the first time I've ever been so worried! I just wanted everything to be perfect for them! But they said that the cupcakes were a hit, so...big sigh of relief!

Have a great time on your honeymoon guys!

Aidan's Star Filled Birthday Bash!

The whole Shabang!
We did 8 different color stars!!

A cake perfect for tearing into!
A big cupcake just for Mr. Aidan!

One of my best friend's son turned one this week and we made some awesome cupcakes to help celebrate! It was one of the first parties I was worried about the sun melting the cupcakes, but I stole one on the way out and they still tasted super delish, just a little warm!

It was a great party, she had every detail dialed in. She gave me lots of ideas for when I start planning Charlotte's first Birthday...she's only 4 months so I have lots of time to plan!!

Happy 1st Birthday Aidan!!

A Doggy Cake!

I got a phone call from a gal I used to work with who was throwing a party for her little pooch and she wanted me to make a dog friendly cake! I thought it was such a fun idea and was excited to work on it! I made the cake with no sugar or artificial flavors and it had ingredients like beef jerky and meaty baby food! I "frosted" it with peanut butter and beggin' strips! It smelled awful while baking! But I hope the little pup loved it!

I also made some cupcakes for human consumption, so everyone could enjoy Winston's first birthday!

Boy was it a busy weekend! No rest for the weary though...I have a wedding this weekend and a 1st birthday party for my friend's son, Aidan and a baby shower on Wednesday...yikes! I need a nap already!

Have a great week everyone!!
